About
The state of Colorado is known for some of the most unique and diverse landscapes and life forms found in the world. From the Rocky Mountains in the west, the great open plains of the east, and all the rivers in between supporting life, there are several different ecosystems that contain a wealth of biomimetic knowledge just waiting to be discovered.
The purpose of the Colorado Biomimicry Network is to nurture, build, and support the Biomimicry movement in Colorado. Through this we hope to develop a community of local engineers, scientists, designers, biologists, educators, artists and local companies dedicated to support biomimicry and adapt “inspired by nature” design concepts to their respective fields.
As the group grows in popularity we would like to organize events to promote the advancement and understanding of what it means to integrate “Biomimetic” design principles. This will include education workshops, guest speakers with innovative design ideas inspired by nature and researchers leading the field of Biomimicry.
Feel free to contact us at cobiomimicrynetwork@gmail.com for more info, suggestions for the group, or just to say Hi. Lets grow this network, the future of Colorado and the world depends on it!
