My teaching and research approaches landscape design as a medium to harmonize the built and the unbuilt environment at the scales of neighbourhood and city. The potential of landscape design approaches such as greenways, green networks, green-switch, to function as a symbiotic green system for the city have been continually investigated within the realms of landscape urbanism and green infrastructure. These investigations have led to the proposition on “landscape synergism”. In further pursuit of the synergistic design approaches, I am currently developing and teaching a course on learning from nature.

I approach this forum as a learning center, to which, I would like to contribute as well in terms of case studies in near future.
