I am a biologist who works for Filtrexx International; a small local, yet international company that utilizes compost and natural systems to provide solutions to human and natural problems. Filtrexx provide.s technology that addresses erosion control and stormwater management, treament of pollution, and ecological remediation. We also have a series of organic agricultural systems that are designed to grow food in any environment.
Filtrexx is one of the few carbon negative companies in the US. In 2009 we used 2 million cubic yards of compost and planted 7,500 acres of permanent vegetation.
Personally, I also teach for Baldwin-Wallace College in the Bio/Geo and Sociology departments. A certified Permaculture designer, I am on the board of directors for the Green Triangle: north east Ohio's Permaculture group. I have worked with organic agriculture, aquaponics, ecological water treatment systems (for Dr. John Todd), and the book industry.
