As program coordinator and student advisor for MCAD's Sustainable
Design Certificate Program (http://www.mcad.edu/sustainable), I seek to develop a culture of awareness and creativity through

Hi Cindy,
Welcome to the southafrica asknature.org group - since you are already established and well connected in the biomimicry arena, you may want to help direct where this group could be going. If you have the time please have a look at the article 'some biomimicry examples worth exploring in a South african context'. Sherry gave some useful feedback here and there are some specific examples which we would like to examine in more detail (for example the harvesting strategies of termites to prompt ideas on agricultural labour policies). Please let us know if some of the others are in line with Biomimicry principles. It would be great to get a discussion going on such topics - and perhaps you could help align such ideas and integrate them into the broader 'Biomimicry Agenda'. Best regards Rael Loon P.S. Feel free to respond to the 'southafrica group' as a whole. |
