I'm Helen Agren, a non-practicing biochemist from Stockholm. At the University I studied with fascination the mysteries of the photosynthesis (the harvesting of sunlight, the electron transport through the photosystem II, splitting of water etc). Since then I have been working with environment and sustainable development for over 20 years (for non governmental organisations, regional authorities, national agencies and the government). I'm currently working at the Swedish Ministry of the Environment where I have specialized in strategies for sustainable development and policies and research for sustainable production and consumption.
I'm interested to explore ways to promote learning and inspiration from and about nature. I'm thrilled to get started with "ask nature " and to see the great work that the Biomimicry Institute and the Guild have done. It's an inspiring way to reconnect to science.
