I am a writer and I am director of communications with William McDonough + Partners, an architecture and community design firm with studios in Charlottesville, VA, and San Francisco. I am the co-author, with Lance Hosey, of Women in Green: Voices of Sustainable Design (2007, Ecotone Publishing). The last chapter of that book is a diary study of the week we spent with Janine Benyus, Dayna Baumeister, and other amazing people of the Biomimicry Group. The week, for me, was transformational.
