About

I am a biochemical engineer, with masters in environmental sciences and business and a doctoral degree in environmental toxicology. Twenty-two years of work experience in the field of environmental and social sustainability carrying out diverse functions such as: preparation and coordination of environmental impact assessments; domestic and industrial wastewater treatment; acute and chronic toxicity tests; kinetic depuration of organic pollutants; environmental education and salvage of  natural and cultural patrimony; reclamation of closed mines; strategic planning incorporating the environmental and social components; coordination and elaboration of sustainability reports in English and Spanish, following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines; negotiation with main stakeholders in mining projects at the exploration stage; introduction and execution of sustainable development projects in stages of exploration, operation and mine closure; representative of the mining industry before different forums for sustainable development to identify tendencies of sustainability for the extractive industry.

My interest in biomimicry is to emulate models from nature to reduce environmental impact caused by extractive industry and construction. I have also interest in using biomimicry as a tool for innovation in environmental and social sustainability.
