About
Biomimicry sounds really good to me. That's why I choose - even before discovering the Biomimicry Institute - to study Bioengineering at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) , which allows me to develop skills in biological topics as well as in engineering fields.

I heard about the Biomimicry Institute and Guild on November 2008, and have been extensively looking for more information about Biomimicry then, looking for books, searching on databases like Scopus or simply by googling.

I choose as much as design/bio-inspired oriented options my bioengineering masters allows me to (Bio-inspired artificial intelligence, biomimetic materials, industrial ecology, product conception, R&D management...).

I recently attended the Biomimicry Workshop set up by biomimicryNL with the presence of Dayna Baumeister. It was a wonderful experience, and a first step towards becoming a Biologist at the Design table (this would be my dream, actually). I plan to attend the BaDT training too, as soon as it is set up by the wonderful team of biomimicryNL (I should better write "as soon as there are enough biologist ready to come"...).

I would be really pleased to keep in touch with the biomimics I already met in Eindhoven, and to meet some other biomimicry "addicts" from all over the world, so just write to me.

Were you able to find more info about biomimicry? Today was the first I have heard of the term "biomimicry" by stumbling upon this website via a link on another publication. I have always been fascinated by nature's perfections and been a believer in living in harmony with nature. I just had not heard the term "biomimicry" used before. What are your fields of interest/expertise?
