I´m a freelance science journalist and communicator. One of my special areas is sustainable development, especially energy and environmental issues, and lately also biomimetics.
I mainly write for univiersities, research organizations, public authorities, and companies in Sweden. Some examples; The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Biomime, The Swedish Energy Agency, etc.
The reason I am here is that I work as a Strategic Science Communicator in what we call BOT- Biomime Outreach Team.
Biomime is the Swedish Center of Biomimetic Fiber Engineering - it is a multidisciplinary Center of Excellence with cutting edge expertise at every level of the formation, modification and industrial utilization of wood, fibers and their constituent polymers. Inspired by nature´s genious design, Biomime develop knowledge that can lead to new products and materials with completely new properties and better prestanda.
I have a MSc in Surveing and natural resource mananagement from KTH. I also studied journalism at Poppius Journalist School, and science communication at Stockholm University.
Before becoming a freelance journalist, I worked 10 year as an environmental consultant at Vattenfall, first with environmental impact assessments regarding windpower stations and bioenergy, and the last three years with Environmental and R&D communication.
I can´t imagine my life without dance, yoga, music, film and books. And as most swedes I like outdoor activities in our beautiful nature. Skiing, taking long walks and playing golf (trying:-).
