I am a business student at Arizona State University and I am an aspiring entrepreneur. I am interested in new product development and am working in a program called InnovationSpace at ASU. "InnovationSpace is an entrepreneurial joint venture among the College of Design, Ira A. Fulton School
of Engineering and W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. The goal of our transdisciplinary education and research lab is to teach students how to develop products that create market value while serving real societal needs and minimizing impacts on the environment. Put simply, we seek to create products that are progressive, possible and profitable. At the same time, they must have a meaningful impact on the daily lives of ordinary people" (InnovationSpace.org). Biomimicry was introduced to the program for the first time this year. We were fortunate enough to have Janine Benyus come to ASU speak to our class and work with us for three days. In my mind, few people are as captivating and inspiring as Ms. Benyus.
