I am an architect with many years in sustainability, but much more recent acquaintance with biomimicry. I'm excited about what a biomimetic approach will bring to our sustainable efforts - positive, life-enhancing concepts that can address the doom and gloom that can be at times overwhelming, with each new report on carbon levels of species extinction. I can't wait to see what creative solutions can come out of the intersection of design of the built environment and "biologists at the design table" - and not a minute too soon.
