My passion and hope is around applying biomimicry to advance thriving human and eco systems. In 2010, I graduated in the first cohort for a two year certificate in Biomimicry with 14 other bright lights:

I specialize in organizational sustainability consulting and intrapreneurial coaching.  A core theme of my work is ‘leveraging interdependence’... by engaging the power of diversity - across disciplines, cultures, and species - we can create social systems that support fully functioning ecosystems, and prosperity and respect for all.

I worked for many years as sustainability coordinator for an engineering firm that designs water and wastewater systems - strategizing, educating, planning, doing and communicating. I also served as a sustainability technical advisor on numerous planning projects for water and wastewater utilities, including the cities of San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Barbara. Before that I worked as a Certified Public Accountant for many years.

I serve as Treasurer on The Biomimicry Institute Board of Directors and am an active member of the Sustainability Task Committee, Environmental and Water Resources Institute, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Sustainability Task Force of the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association, Water Environment Federation.
