I am an architect interested in the application of permaculture principles into urban areas and public spaces. I design green public and institutional buildings such as schools, community centers, wildlife rehabilitation centers, health clinics, train stations, fire stations, bike paths and community plans both locally in Chicago and also as a part of third world development work in Cameroon, Africa. I am interested in passive and biophilic designs which increase the biodiversity potential of the areas in which they are integrated. I am also exploring the ideas of reconnecting people who live in an urban environment to their food and their communities. I am currently experimenting in my own home with the production of food within a vertical and urban multifamily living environment.
If you are studying the vertical propagation of plants to increase diversity and food production, whether it be cliffside natural growth or urban vertical farms, I would like to connect with you.
