In the last few years I have worked in the audio industry,
semiconductor industry, and am currently working towards my masters and working as an engineer in CO. I have always had a passion for nature and
understanding the underlying processes for how things work. I see this emerging field as a way to merge my love of nature and science to work towards a sustainable future.
I am interested in networking with other engineers and scientists to learn more about the fields and studies done within Biomimicry. Speficically, bio-sensors, patterns in nature, renewable energy management, sustainable models for consumer products and packaging (the "cradle-to-cradle" concept), and sustainable building and architecture.
Through this web portal I hope to become more educated in current research and in the many ways nature and modern science work together to create a world where we (humans) exist as part of the larger planet ecosystem rather than trying to "control" it. There is no power greater than nature.
I am in the process of researching graduate school and appreciate any input from other students (MS/PHD) in their current research, projects, and new ideas.
Be sure to check out the Colorado Biomimicry Network AskNature group or http://www.cobiomimicry.org for what's happening in Colorado!
