I've been interested in biomimicry for some time, since first connecting to Ms. Benyus's work in 2003 as I was wrapping up my MBA as Case Western. Learning about so many great examples of biomimetics and case examples from experience (Steering Committee) of Cleveland Bioneers, I've become more interested in studying the cutting edge of this exciting field. It was great hearing Ms. Benyus speak at CIA a couple of years ago as well as meeting her personally at Weatherhead as part of our BAWB Global Forum.
My core focus now is application of biomimetic designs to uplifitng the underserved, to effect such outcomes at the nexus of environmental and social justice. Great to be involved and engaged in this space!
A final note, I hope to inspire and engage models in transformational models that embrace and include biomimicry as a core tenet - models like these, that transcend race, faith, or other traditional boundaries to unite and engage us all toward positive change outcomes and true sustainability.
